Her background is in early childhood development and has years of experience working with children with special needs and their families. Alyssa has focused more recently on working with children and their families regarding trauma processing, behaviors and other emotional disturbances. She fully believes that every human being strives for and has the capacity to fulfill their own potential. Viewing every client through the person-centered lens allows Alyssa to give them the power to be their own expert in who they are and what they are capable of. She also utilizes many techniques and types of treatment based on each clients needs such as mindfulness, play therapy, psychodynamic and gestalt.

Alyssa was born and raised in Colorado. She attended college at Seattle Pacific University and after living in Seattle for 5 years moved to live in Pasadena, California. After 8 years exploring other amazing cities she returned to once again call Denver her home. Alyssa now finds her greatest joy in life when spending time with her family. She is working every day to continuously create the healthy balance between family and work life.
